Vice-captain Hasegawa Haruki of the American football team, which came in first in the number of support votes received, gave an impassioned speech saying, "In order to increase the number of support votes, we thought thoroughly about the theme ‘Sekai o Ikase which means that make the world come alive,’ and focused on how much we could interact with other universities and getting support from them. We would like to participate again next year and aim for first place!"
At the networking meeting following the awards ceremony, students and local supporters had a valuable opportunity to talk face-to-face. Students were seen visiting the company booths and engaging in enthusiastic discussions with the company representatives.
In addition, the sponsoring companies and Tokushima Prefecture officials listened attentively to the students' reports on their activities and future goals. Executives of Tokushima University also joined groups of students, asking questions about their activities while reminiscing about their own student days. The venue was filled with the enthusiasm and friendly smiles of industry, government, and academia united, and the event ended on a high note.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the warm support to student groups in the form of votes, comments, and donations for this event.
