From September 24th to 26th, 2025, the Tokushima University J-PEAKS delegation led by Vice Executive Director Yasutomo (Research (Planning)) visited Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh Medicine and Pharmacy University, and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen research capabilities, enhance graduate school education, and secure excellent graduate students, and the target universities were universities with a history of exchange, mainly in the fields of life and medicine.
During the visits, J-PEAKS's initiatives were introduced, Tokushima University faculty members gave research presentations, and interviews were held with students hoping to enter the doctoral program at Tokushima University. All universities showed a positive attitude toward further collaboration with Tokushima University, and it was a valuable opportunity to speak directly with many enthusiastic students.
Tokushima University will further strengthen the relationship of trust established through this visit and promote the internationalization of its education and research. Furthermore, as a university that is rooted in the local community yet connected to the international community, we will continue to aim to cultivate human resources who can play an active role in the international community and develop as a research university open to the world.
