Graduation Ceremony Held for the Specialized Course of the "Tokushima Healthy Lifespan Body College," the Recurrent Education Program at the Center for Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning

The Center for Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning, in collaboration with Tokushima Prefecture, has been offering the “Tokushima Healthy Lifespan Body College,” the Recurrent Education Program as an effort to help extend the "healthy lifespan" since 2019.

In 2025, the fourth term of the specialized course was held, and after approximately three months of lectures and practical training that began in May 2025, a certificate presentation ceremony was held on August 19th for 10 students.

This college offers programs that combine the acquisition and practice of knowledge in a wide range of fields, such as medicine, nutrition, and exercise, with human resource development, with the aim of preventing metabolic syndrome, locomotive syndrome, and dementia.

Graduates are certified by the President of Tokushima University and the Governor of Tokushima Prefecture as "Healthy Life Expectancy Partners" (those who engage in volunteer activities related to extending healthy lifespans), and those who pass the qualification exam become "Tokushima Healthy Life Expectancy Masters" (leaders and instructors who can provide healthy exercise instruction and lifestyle support), contributing to improving the health of their local communities.
