J-SWEET〔an acronym for J (Josanjima), S (Science), W (Women), E (Encourage), E (Engineering), T (Technology)〕is a team of the "Rikejo" consisting of female undergraduate students and master's and doctoral students on Josanjima Campus. It was formed in 2020 with the aim of building a network among female science and engineering students and creating opportunities for them to think about their own paths and career development for the future.
The 6th class was accepted in the 2025 academic year, and the team currently has 20 members. On May 16th, 2025, Tokushima University held its first appointment ceremony as an official Tokushima University team for the J-SWEET. At the ceremony, the members were presented with appointment letters by President Kawamura Yasuhiko, and on behalf of the team, Ms. Ichikawa Ayumi, the 3rd year of the Computer Science Course of the Faculty of Science and Technology, spoke of their aspirations for the team, followed by words of encouragement from Dean Hattori Takefumi of the Faculty of Bioscience and Bioindustry
After the appointment ceremony, a roundtable discussion was held where participants introduced themselves and exchanged opinions about their future activities and career development.
